PRESS RELEASE
Colerain Township, May 22, 2017 – Chief Mark C. Denney of the Colerain Police Department, reports a bank robbery at Key Bank located at 3515 Springdale Road. On 05/22/2017 at approximately 11:03 AM, Colerain Township Police were dispatched to Key Bank at 3515 Springdale Road for a robbery that just occurred. Bank employees informed police that a male black subject wearing dark clothing and a black hat entered the bank demanding money. Bank employees complied, but shots were fired inside the bank. A gunfire exchange between the suspect and a patron, whom legally was carrying a firearm, took place. It is unknown if the suspect was struck before fleeing the scene with an additional male black suspect wearing dark clothing, waiting outside. Colerain Police Department’s Criminal Investigative Unit responded and is investigating the offense, with the assistance of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
